My final co-op term has brought me to New Brunswick to do some process improvement for JD Irving. I’ve only been with them for a month at time of writing but even in that short time I’ve already learned a lot. Working in a lumber mill, instead of a plywood plant, has really allowed me to see the similarities and differences in the stages of processing wood. In addition to learning a new process, I also have to opportunity to dust off my French since most of my colleagues are bilingual. Thanks to my previous Co-op terms, I was able to contribute more to the team, and I look forward to the next 7 months.
