This past winter I was working as an Outreach Intern with the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society – BC Chapter. It has been extremely fulfilling being able to communicate conservation science and garner support for our campaigns to create more protected areas, and learn how government relations work.
One of my favourite moments was getting to shadow a meeting with the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Director of CPAWS! Such an enlightening experience.
