For my fourth work term, I am working as a Riparian Enhancement Team Leader in the Salmon Habitat Restoration Program (SHaRP) which is a City of Surrey program run by Dillon Consulting Limited. This position has been a very dynamic position with lost of different learning opportunities. I have spent time during this work term doing invasive removal, fish salvages, site assessments and instream works as well as more administrative tasks such as scheduling, hiring high school crew members, training crew members and completing reports. Every day working for the SHaRP program has been extremely exciting and has opened my eyes to potential career paths after graduation. The coworkers that are part of my team have also taught me many new things and have made my work experience here an awesome journey.
