I hope everyone is doing OK, and staying safe and well.
You haven’t heard much from me this week (phew!), which is largely a reflection of the fact that we really seem to be in a groove thanks to the hard work and dedication of everyone in the Faculty of Forestry. Thank you, all, for your support.
Our thinking regarding the likelihood of online courses this September has not changed. In the coming weeks, we will be learning more about available resources to help facilitate the transition to online teaching and learning in the Fall. We will also be making some difficult decisions regarding fall field camps and courses, and striking an adhoc committee to help develop guiding principles and best practices for online teaching and learning in the Faculty of Forestry (stay tuned for further details). In Student Services, we continue to deal with large volumes of issues on a case-by-case basis, but all of us breathed a collective sigh of relief this when we read this good news story for our students:
Have a restful, safe, and healthy weekend, everyone!
