Our warming world is changing habitats and leading to species loss and extinction at unprecedented levels. Under threat in Canada are millions of hectares of mostly boreal forest, along with habitats for countless wildlife and ecosystems that support economies, communities, and traditional ways of life.
What role can the forestry sector play in finding nature-based solutions for a changing climate? How can we learn from the mistakes of the past? What lessons can Indigenous ways of knowing and traditional practices teach us about how to cultivate ecosystem health and vitality? Join us for a panel discussion with three leading researchers in the areas of forest conservation, sustainability, and ecology.
Join alumni and friends for networking receptions before and after the program. Light refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.
