Nicholas Coops and Andrés Varhola receive CFS Collaboration Award

coops cover and cert webThe Canadian Forest Service (CFS) has recognized the Lidar Best Practices Team for their work in producing a go-to handbook describing all of the steps necessary for understanding and implementing and airborne laser scanning project. Dr Nicholas Coops (Forest Resources Management) and Dr Andrés Varhola are members of this team. The document “A best practices guide for generating forest inventory attributes from airborne laser scanning data using and area-based-approach”, was the most downloaded document from the CFS bookstore in 2013.
