Modelling Student at Skyline Forestry Consultants Ltd in Vancouver, BC

For my final co-op term, I have been working with Skyline Forestry Consultants Ltd. We have been working on a paper that focuses on the 50-year post-harvest impacts of logging on British Columbia’s forest carbon stocks.  This paper makes use of the Carbon Budget model of the Canadian Forest Sector (CBM-CFS3) to uncover the impacts climate change will have on the carbon stocks of our forests. I completed the modelling, as well as researching and writing the paper.

Working for Skyline Forestry Consultants over three co-op terms has been an excellent experience.  My supervisor and bosses have supported me greatly throughout the entire journal article writing process. I have had the opportunity to meet so many inspiring and dedicated working professionals. This has been an amazing experience and I will look back at my time in Co-op fondly.
