Christopher Quilty (Forest Sciences)

BSFS – Agriculture Canada, Summerland, BC

For my third work term, I returned to Agriculture Canada as a summer student for the Apple Cherry breeding program. I will be returning to continue building my skill set surrounding agricultural research and field creation, maintenance and expansion. Despite the challenges surrounding COVID-19, work continues with new measures put in place to ensure the safety of everyone. Despite these new challenges, I look forward to continuing to improve my skill set at Agriculture Canada through a variety of tasks ranging from creating fields, thinning apples, collecting field data and propagating the next stage of research.
