Bartlett Tree Experts Canada
For my third co-op I worked with Bartlett Tree Experts out in Delta as a groundsman. The job had a large learning curve the first month. I learned how to use basic arborist tools such as a chainsaw and climbing gear. Other than the tools, I had to learn an extensive amount of urban tree species identification to tree climbing practices. Every day at Bartlett is different from the last. For example, one day I could be helping with a large Douglas fir removal and the next would be fine pruning a fruit tree. One of my favourite parts of the job is tree climbing; being suspended up in the air while pruning a tree always keeps me on my toes.
