My work with the Kuhmo Metsähallitus team this summer has included forest planning, silvicultural practices, logging operations, and nature conservation. The experience of being immersed in the company of passionate professionals for three months has been a perfect complement to my studies at UBC in the Faculty of Forestry. My Finnish forestry experience was made possible by the Co-op Program, which has coached me in professionalism and has facilitated my making real world connections.
