Currently I am working in a lumber trading company located on a 10-acre mill used to hold a large quantity of inventory. They hold an array of lumber products, which is distributed throughout North America, Asia and Europe.
I have been exposed to a variety of positions such as managing the inventory, recording the trading amounts, printing lumber tags, preparing invoices for imported and exported goods, as well as interacting with customers on a daily basis. The experience I have gained within the different departments has expanded my knowledge within the lumber industry and strengthened my skills. I have had the opportunity to build close relationships with my coworkers, which made me a team player. In the following weeks, I will apply new software called WoodPro on an existing database which is challenging and exciting. I cannot wait to work on it!
