BUF – Canadian Museum of Nature
For my fourth Co-op work term, I was in Ottawa working with the Canadian Museum of Nature Botany department on the Arctic Digitization Project. From my time with the Botany department, I came to see how herbariums have an important role in scientific research, and why they should be preserved. Through the Arctic Digitization Project, I have learned of the vasular plants found in the arctic, as well as how excel can be applied in a scientific research setting. I am glad I joined co-op, as it has allowed me to discover and explore potential future career paths, along with more of the world.
