Co-op has given me the opportunity to gain experience in forestry and put what I learn in the classroom to use in the field. In co-op you are given a lot more opportunities for valuable work and learning experiences in your specific field. Also the co-op employer realizes that you are here to learn and develop your skills, so they want to help you and provide you with the resources to learn as much as you can about the industry. I feel like I would have never been able to get such an amazing placement, especially in my first term, if I was not enrolled in the co-op program.
