My current co-op term working for Pinnacle Renewable Energy has broadened my perspective of the forestry industry. In the short span of working at the Prince George office, I have been working on a variety of projects that improve the production of wood pellets at Pinnacle’s different operations. These can range from using my CAD skills to draft conceptual schematics for new conveyors, contacting different contractors to quote on installation projects, to learning how to collect and test wood fibre samples. It is a refreshing experience working in a company that encourages me to explore different areas and challenges me to take on large projects on my own. I have both the Co-op program and Pinnacle to thank for providing me with a stepping stone into a job like no other.
