For my second work term, I was an Arborist for Royal Wood Tree Care, a company based in Delta that serves Vancouver´s Metropolitan region. On my first day, I was surprised by the speed that we had to work in order to compete with other, much bigger, companies like Bartlett or Davey, and make a profit. I spent my third co-op term working for the Wildlife Institute of India as an intern in the Landscape Ecology and Visualization Lab. My job was to design my own research project around investigating the outcome of conservation investments within the Great Himalayan National Park, and the eco-development zone surrounding it.
