Christina Howard (Conservation)
This past winter, I worked with Natural Resources Canada as a Climate Change Mitigation Modelling Analyst. This work prepared me for future endeavours in research, data analysis, and scientific communication. Each day within the office felt like a new and different day, and I was given the freedom to pursue my own ideas and methods. Annie Wang (Wood Products Processing)
This winter, I worked as a Wood Processing Engineer at Loewen Windows Inc. I helped with various ongoing projects ranging from improving manufacturing procedures to establishing procedures of lumber quality inspection. For my second co-op work term I worked for Teck Resources Limited, Canada’s largest diversified resource company. I was working out of the company's head office, in Vancouver, but was working on three projects at Teck’s Red Dog mine in North West Alaska. Read more...


Rodrigo Baston (Forestry)
For my first year in the Co-op Program, I worked as a tree planter for Celtic Reforestation. I worked at several locations around Prince George, in northern BC and had the chance to see the beautiful shapes of this landscape, while spending all of my time outdoors and learning more about reforestation. Rebecca Wort (Conservation)
For my first co-op work term I worked with the City of Pickering in the Horticulture department. During that term I worked on the maintenance and creation of gardens as well as identification of invasive species. Most days I was involved in planting, tilling, weeding, watering and edging gardens. Often I was sent out to gardens and forests where there have been complaints to remedy the situation at hand.
