The first year of the program is very much like first–year science or engineering. Students take math, physics and chemistry courses, together with an English course. The emphasis of second year is to develop a basic knowledge of wood and material science and to introduce primary and secondary wood processing technology. In the third year, students learn basic manufacturing followed by advanced manufacturing operations in the fourth year. In the fifth year, students complete electives and a major project that enables them to focus on an area of interest.
- Wood structure, mechanics and physics
- Engineering and production
- Statistical analyses
- Business operations
- Globalization and sustainability
