This summer the Quetico Foundation, in partnership with Quetico Provincial Park, will be hiring one Research Team Leader and one Research Team Member. The successful candidates will be part of a small research team primarily responsible for collecting ecological data in the remote backcountry of Quetico. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable work experience in field sciences/natural resource management. Data collection trips will usually be conducted in the form of multiday (four to ten day) canoe trips, with responsibilities including trip planning, following safety and communications protocols, and successful collection of the required data, along with data entry, analysis, and report generation.
