Job Posting: Lower North Thompson Community Forest Society – 2024 UBC Community Forest Internship
Are you looking to gain forestry work experience and would love to participate in a variety of different field tasks? The Lower North Thompson Community Forest Society (LNTCFS) is looking for TWO UBC STUDENTS to join our team for the 2024 summer. Where: Barriere, BC Students will be responsible for finding their own accommodation although we have been successful in providing assistance with locating rental accommodations in the past. Living in Barriere will be easiest for commuting however students can choose to live in Kamloops or Clearwater. Please see the job posting attached, and apply by January 31st.
UBC Master of Food and Resource Economics (MFRE) Program
The UBC Master of Food and Resource Economics (MFRE) is a one-year professional course-based program that focuses on economic solutions for climate, food and the environment. We offer a strong combination of academic courses, paired with a 4-month work experience project, and a full year of professional and data analytic workshops. Students interested in building upon their economic or business degrees and entering a career in the climate, food, and environmental sector are an excellent fit with the MFRE program. Forest Bathing: A Natural Reset – Date changed
Join Tara Tiger Brown and Forestry’s Embedded Counsellor, Nicole Adoranti, for a guided forest bathing experience. Wednesday November 29th, 3:00-5:00pm, meet at Reconciliation Pole at 3:00pm. Complimentary hot tea and snacks provided.
