I have been working as an Invasive Vegetation Management Technician and Skilled Laborer with Evergreen Limited where I have worked on a wide range of projects – from monitoring the safe excavation of a salmon pathway expansion to treating invasive vegetation in remote areas of the Lower Mainland.

For my first co-op term, I am working as a BC Co-op Student at Bureau Veritas, in the inorganics laboratory of their Environmental Services Department. The key focus of our laboratory is to determine the amount of inorganic compounds present in water, soil and air samples, and to report this data to our clients

Junior Technician – Strategic Natural Resource Consultants
For my first term with the UBC Co-op program, I spent a summer working as a Junior Forest Technician for Strategic Natural Resource Consultants. During my time there I was given the opportunity to participate in many different roles within the field of forestry including boundary and road traverse, layout and stream assessments.

I am working in a chemical company in Belgium called Solvay as a Sustainability Procurement Analyst. I have been working on several projects including the “One Project One Buyer” initiative. Summer Student Resource Assistant – BC Timber Sales
This summer I’ve had the pleasure of working as a Resource Assistant with BC Timber Sales based in Smithers. My role has exposed me to a breadth of studies and field work such as block layouts, silviculture planting and harvesting, riparian assessments, road assessments, and the economic valuation of wood harvests.

Environmental Programs Co-op Student – Destination Canada
This summer, I have had the opportunity to work as an Environmental Programs Co-op at Destination Canada (DC), the Crown Corporation with the mandate to support Canadian tourism.
