My research explores how economic incentives and market-based approaches to forest governance contribute to livelihood, biodiversity, and climate goals. Much of my work focuses on the effectiveness and equity of public payment-for-conservation policies in tropical regions, and the emergence of global markets for carbon and biodiversity. I collaborate across disciplines and engage with policymakers, communities, and local organisations to inform the design and implementation of interventions.
