Urban greenspaces are among the most cherished community features to gather, recreate and unwind. Research has linked these spaces to numerous physical and psychological health benefits. From peri-urban interfaces to green streets, parks and wetlands, Urban Forestry graduates will be equipped to join a growing contingent of experts in the field who are developing healthy urban forest systems, plans and infrastructure with and for communities.
Learning Outcomes
Our Urban Forestry program covers topics ranging from urban ecology to sustainability planning, recreational opportunities, human well-being, urban greenspace management, forest sciences and social inclusion and justice.
