UBC Forestry wishes to congratulate Dr. Stephen Sheppard on being awarded the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal!
The Medal, administered by the Chancellery of Honours at Rideau Hall, commemorates individuals who have “made a significant contribution to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region or community of Canada, or have made an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada”.
Stephen’s research centers on climate change planning, community engagement, and the visualization of climate impacts and solutions. He also explores low-carbon futures, energy literacy, public perceptions of sustainability, and the social aspects of forestry.
