Black History Month serves as a time to honor and celebrate the accomplishments of Black students, staff, and faculty within our UBC Forestry community. While we should celebrate these achievements everyday, we hope to offer this time as an opportunity for focused and intentional reflection. Rebecca Jin is a fourth-year student in the Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Conservation program, majoring in Science and Management. The Faculty of Forestry continues to build out its breadth of accessible, flexible and virtual learning opportunities with two new Micro-Certificates in Forest Carbon Management (FCM) and Climate Action and Community Engagement (CACE). Personalized, adaptable and industry-aligned, these two Micro-Certificates were designed to address the gap in online forestry education.
