For my first term with the UBC Co-op program, I spent a summer working as a junior forest technician for Strategic Natural Resource Consultants. During my time there I was given the opportunity to participate in many different roles within the field of forestry including boundary and road traverse, layout and stream assessments but the position I enjoyed taking on the most was Goshawk Surveys.

I am working in a chemical company in Belgium called Solvay as a Sustainability Procurement Analyst. I have been working on several projects including the “One Project One Buyer” initiative. This project aims to reduce the CO2 emissions of our company by fostering sustainable practices across the supply chain, particularly targeting scope 3 emissions. My role involves scaling up the program to ensure that over 50% of buyers are engaged with at least one sustainability project.

I have been working as an Operations Intern at a commodities lumber trading company called Olympic Industries. I primarily oversaw all incoming payments to the company, matched them up to invoices and tracked when payments were due.
