Summer Student Resource Assistant – BC Timber Sales

This summer I’ve had the pleasure of working as a Resource Assistant with BC Timber Sales based in Smithers. My role has exposed me to a breadth of studies and field work such as block layouts, silviculture planting and harvesting, riparian assessments, road assessments, and the economic valuation of wood harvests.

Lab Research Assistant; University of British Columbia, Forestry Science Centre During my co-op work term, I have been actively involved in assisting two projects: the development of superelastic and hydrophobic hemp fiber aerogels through freeze drying, and the cottonization of fiber for textile applications. Research & Communications Intern at Automotive Retailers Association in Burnaby, BC For my first co-op work term, I have been working remotely with the Automotive Retailers Assocation (ARA) as a Research & Communications Intern.
