Bianca Eskelson Receives the Alexander Von Humboldt Research Fellowship
Dr. Bianca Eskelson has been awarded the prestigious Humboldt Research Fellowship by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. She is recognized as a Humboldt fellow for her research project on climate-sensitive tree mortality models and the economic implications of altered mortality probabilities in mixed-species stands in central Europe and interior British Columbia, Canada.
Dr. Nicholas Coops named Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada
UBC Forestry wishes to congratulate Dr. Nicholas Coops who has been named a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC). Dr. Coops is considered a global leader in the application of remote sensing for forest management and holds a Canada Research Chair Tier 1 in remote sensing.
