Congratulations to the Recipients of the 2021/22 Forestry Best Graduate Teaching Assistant Award
We are pleased to announce the winners of this year’s Best Graduate Teaching Assistant Award. The award comprises the Jordan L. Burke Memorial Award in Forestry and the Killam Graduate Teaching Assistant Award. The recipients demonstrated exceptional skills and contributions to teaching that have earned them high respect from students and course supervisors.

UBC Forestry congratulates Professor and Dean Dr. Robert Kozak for receiving an honorary doctorate in Agriculture and Forestry from the University of Helsinki, Finland’s oldest and largest higher education institution. This honorary doctorate follows many notable awards and distinctions received by Dean Kozak.

Kathy Martin Receives University of Prince Edward Island’s Distinguished Alumni Award
UBC Forestry congratulates Dr. Kathy Martin for receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award from her alma mater, the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI). The award is considered the university’s highest honour and the criteria for it is based on the university’s motto, “faith, knowledge and service.”
