Tahia Devisscher is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forest Resources Management and focuses on how to manage forests and other green spaces in and around cities to support human well-being and build social-ecological resilience to climate change. She is interested in developing practical strategies to address the increasing disconnect between people and nature caused by rapid urbanization.
In The Spotlight: Dr. Haibo Feng
Haibo Feng is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Wood Science at UBC. His research area focuses on green building, building information modelling, life cycle assessment and building energy performance. He has extensive industrial and research experience in promoting sustainable building construction with the integration of advanced building systems and renewable energy supports.
